Sign-up online is open until September 1st. After that we will sell passes at the door, if available.

If you are in town and unable to attend the entire congress, it is possible to join some events
(see the programme for details):
Opening Party, Thursday at Holmen Bar. Free entrance.
Salsa Fiesta, Friday at Bikubå. Entrance Nok 80,-
AfroCuban Party, Saturday in Folkets Hus. Entrance Nok 120,-
Salsa Matiné, Sunday at Rosenkildehuset. Entrance Nok 80,-
+ Congress Dinner and City stroll (see below).
But of course you should not miss this:
We present our city during daytime on Friday, for those who have arrived in Stavanger.
Meet at the fish market in the center (map) at 11am. We will walk through the beautiful Old City, see the Cathedral in Stavanger, the Valberg tower, Skagen, and end up with lunch at Samba & Grill.
The city stroll is free, but everybody pay their own lunch.

We continue the tradition of Saturday evening congress dinner this year. This year at Pushkin restaurant & bar, next to Folkets Hus, the venue of the Saturday AfroCuban Party.
the Congress Dinner is not included in the pass. You may book the Congress Dinner online here until September 2nd (Nok 150,-). Or if not sold out, you may just drop-in (Nok 200,-).
MENU: A buffet including chicken, rice, salad and bread.
Please join us! - for one of the rare socials outside the dance floor during the congress.

Registration starts Fredag Sep. 4th at 17.00 in Bikubå.
Please meet early to sign up, to avoid a big line. First class starts at Bikubå / Kvaleberg school at kl 18.15 (apr. 5 min. walk between the venues).

If there are further changes, it will be due to unexpected events.
On the printout you will find class content, level, venue/room, and instructor listed.
Last update on web: August 27th. Note that Sunday classes start at 11:30.
We will ask that all participants respect the level in the rueda classes, so that everyone can have suitable challenges in the classes. It is OK to attend classes with lower level than your own skills, but not to attend classes with higher level than your own. Note also that some classes have additional requirements.
Rueda contests
According to our tradition, we will also this year organize Rueda contests at the Mini Rueda Congress.
This time e will try out something new, even easier for everyone to participate in. It is not necessary to prepare a rueda team to participate in the contest this year, only show up with concentration and enthusiasm:)
And we will have two different contests:
In contrast to previous years, where the team has practiced in advance, and have had the opportunity to align and choreograph parts of the dance, this year's team contest has a more social character. See details here.

Yanek
Revilla and visaYanek still lives in Cuba, and is also having dificulties getting visa papers in order to come to the Mini Rueda Congress in Norway. He was also supposed to teach at a conference in Finland in July, but that one was also cancelled due to visa problems. We have had constant contact with him, and been reasonably confident that everything would be in order for his journey to Europe in August, but now he has warned us that it will not work out.
Yanek was also last year prevented from participating at the Rueda Congressen in Stavanger. Therefore we took a lot of precautions to avoid the same situation, but it appears that it is impressively difficult to arrange papers in Cuba.
Now it seems that the best opportunity to experience the rueda star Yanek Revilla, is to go to Cuba for SalsaNors Rueda Congress in Havana in December, when he teaches and holds a rueda show with his own dance group from Santiago de Cuba.
Fortunately, we have managed to get a solid replacement for Yanek this year, namely
Roynet Pérez Gonzales ("El Monarca").
Roynet has danced in several dance productions with Yanek Revilla in Cuba, and was, among other things, judge in the famous dance competition "Para bailar Casino" on Cuban TV, won by Yanek Revilla. We look forward to have Roynet in Stavanger at the Mini Rueda Congress, for the first time in Norway!

At the Mini Rueda Congress you may become better acquainted with the others through common meals. In Bikubå we have a kitchen and a sales desk, and we're also using catering. Here is the Mini Congress menu. Buen provecho!
